Our in-house developed technology battles exterior magnetism effectively by redirecting up to A / M 286000 or Gauss 3600 of magnetic current away from the mechanical movement. Made possible by a year long extensive research & development. Made from a special alloy that forces magnetism to change direction, effectively shielding the movement. The Kontra-Gauss, and movement, is enclosed inside up to four layers of steel acting as additional magnetic adsorbent.
Swedish steel, renowned for its purity and strength. To achieve sharp edges, light-catching surfaces and mirror-like angles, a tedious practice of grinding, sanding, bead-blasting and polishing is executed. No less than nine stages of finishing is made on each watch, all of which by hand in Göteborg. With the help of contrasting surfaces, the watch looks different from every angle, resulting in a masterful presence. .
The Göta-Lejon collection is our passion and pride. We put immense attention to assure 100% perfection in regards to performance and quality. The Swiss movements are regulated, modified and tested in our own Performance Center to achieve an average precision of within +4/-1 seconds per 24 hours. Additionally, each timepiece is chock-tested, pressure-controlled, and put to simulated 72h wear.
The Kontra-Gauss GMT is a temporary collection from E.C.A. made as a exhibition of skill and ingenuity from the brand. Being made almost entirely by hand after 2 years of R&D, the watch was not meant to be profitable and only a few more pieces of the Kontra-Gauss will be made before we leave the project to our history book. As a customer, you could by all means consider yourself one of a very few to own a handmade piece from E.C.Andersson Watch Co.
