Watch movement?

Always Automatic (mechanical), either Swiss ETA, Japanese SEIKO or Miyota made, depending on the model. We only use movements with proven reliability and durability, the keywords of the E.C.Andersson brand.

What is ETA?

ETA (SA Manufacturer Suisse) is a Swiss movement manufacturer based in Grenchen, Switzerland. They are capable of manufacturing all components of a movement, and are therefore considered a “manufacture d’horlogerie”.

E.C.Andersson uses ETA movement, model number 2824-2 Top Grade, which is a mechanical automatic movement, powered by a self-winding rotor. It has a power reserve of 42 hours and is known to be true Swiss workhorse – Reliable, durable and precise. E.C.Andersson is using “Top Grade” which include the same components as the COSC certified movements, often found in much more expensive watches.

What is SEIKO?

SEIKO is a renowned Japanese watch movement manufacturer, established in 1881. SEIKO have since then been at the forefront of the watch industry with several groundbreaking innovations. Every component of the SEIKO movements is made in-house.

E.C.Andersson uses the SEIKO NH05, a movement that is beloved around the world. Known to be extremely reliable, thanks to the solid built. The SEIKO NH05 often outlives many of its competitors by far, and are easy to service.

What is Miyota?

Miyota is a Japanese brand, who has been making quality watch movements since 1959. It is today majority owned by Citizen. The movements of Miyota enjoy a good reputation among professionals and are deemed to be equivalent to traditional Swiss production.

E.C.Andersson uses Miyota 9000-series, a top tier classed movement series used in some of our most complicated watches yet to be released. It’s self-winding, shock repellent and built partially by Swiss components.
